Manicures
Learn the art of manicuring
You will understand professional polishing techniques and the proper procedurs to ensure satisfaction and comfort during manicure services. Exposure to types of tools, products, equipment, violations, ergonomics and the understanding of manicure procedures. Basic cuticle care technique/safety, hand massage, soaking do/dont, prep for maximum adhesion, communication and spa upgrade options.
Pedicures
Learn the art of pedicuring
Polishing techniques and safe/effective service procedures with pedicures. Exposure to tool types, products, equipment, violations, ergonomics and an understanding on how to perform a safe, pleasurable, effective pedicure service. Basic understanding of callus and nail care, foot/lower leg massage, soaking and spa service upgrades.
Gel Polishing
Learn safe & professional gel polishing
Learn the art of gel polishing techniques and safe/effective service procedures with pedicures. Exposure to tool types, products, equipment, violations/safety, safe removal and an understanding on how to perform an effective application of gel polish.
Basic Acrylic
Students are taught the chemical polymerization process of the liquid to powder ratio to know how to make a correct bead to create a strong nail with tight adhesion. Open discussion available on product lines, preparation for maximum adhesion, basic tip application, understanding brushes/brush care, filing techniques and answers to lists of acrylic questions. Students are recommended to bring their own acrylic brush and products they have questions about. Recommended to those with very little to no experience doing acrylic nails.
Electric Filing
Learn how to properly use a drill. Discussion on sanding bands verses carbide bits. This technique is a MUST for all nail techs to stay competitive in todays industry! Don't fear the drill, your customers will desire you and appreciate the rare Techs that know how to use a drill correctly. Students could bring a drill if they have one otherwise a starter drill is here for use. Feel free to bring your drill or use the student practice drill in class.
